Jess & Jessica’s wedding was all about design: modern, sculptural and a little unexpected. Rather than leaning into Kin House’s usual garden-party feel, we took a more editorial approach, planning the florals around form and a rich late-summer palette of burgundy, cream, coffee, and caramel tones. Nothing too pink, nothing too sweet.
The ceremony design focused on plinths, vessels and bowls instead of a traditional arch, creating a backdrop that felt more like an art installation than a floral feature. Soft, fluffy abelia and pale blossom-like foliage were layered with darker, more architectural ingredients such as diablo foliage, statement anthuriums, chocolate cosmos, and roses in yummy toffee and café-au-lait shades.
One of my favourite details was the burgundy hydrangea (Jessica’s all-time faves) secretly woven through the day as a surprise from Jess, including a vase waiting in the getting-ready room. Add in a petting zoo at the drinks reception (actual heaven), and honestly… what more could you ask for?
