This was a celebration of spring in its most joyful form. Cat adores flowers, so the brief was gloriously floral-heavy, with a modern-vintage feel and a full sweep of pastels running through not just the flowers, but echoed in the bridesmaids’ dresses too, all in different pretty, sugary hues.
At St Peter’s Church in Langley Burrell, we filled the space with long-stem British tulips, clouds of blossom, anemones, spirea and masses of ranunculus, with the butterfly variety stealing more than a few hearts. The entrance arch and meadow-style urns set the tone, then travelled with us to Kin House, where they were reworked alongside bud vases and ceiling clouds in the Kilvert Hall. Seeing Cat’s reaction to her bouquet – pure delight – was everything.
