Jo and Larry’s early November wedding began in St Aldhelm’s Church in Malmesbury and ended with a candlelit celebration at Kin House. Their brief was a true winter wonderland: foliage-led, glowing with hundreds of candles, and wrapped in a palette of burgundy, soft pinks, creams and a splash of red. Jo loves slightly unusual flowers, so red-and-white striped anemones were tucked in for a playful twist on the wintery theme.
In the church, we created impact without overcrowding, with a lush entrance arch, altar urns, and meadow planting at their bases using British roses, hydrangeas, and chrysanthemums. Back at Kin, wild clematis and jasmine trailed across the beams, softening the open architecture above long tables scattered with bud vases and candlelight. With no hard frost yet, we were lucky to still have so much British goodness to play with, and the total trust Jo and Larry gave me made this one an absolute dream to design.
